The ages lay to rest
A Journey monumental in
tears, burden and pain
The heavens to collide
and earth to form its grave
Epochs of glory, aeons of might
Detrimented by time

A solemn sob by the edge of the pit
The tolling chime of the knell
Closer towards the final rest
With each ungainly step
Through the phase
of years' decay
The paeans of the end of this earth

To veil the retreating horizons
